Welcome to the Rayne Legacy.

Hello, and welcome to the Rayne Legacy.  I love taking pictures of my Sims living their lives and watching the story develop and change due to a Sims wishes/actions.  A few things to note about my legacy play style.

  • I am starting my Sim off on a large legacy style lot and building their eventual empire from the ground up.
  • I do not use money cheats or hacks, short of sending a severely broke Sim to work overtime ( I have a mod that allows this)
  • I will use cheats where I find it necessary, but try not to abuse my God like powers. (Example: I will drag up relation bars when needed for a quest, but not to increase normal friendships)
  • I let my Sims wishes (primarily) direct game play.  I may give them a nudge in the right direction every now and again, but mostly my Sims are leading their lives.  I am but an observer.
  • I tend to play a matriarchal style legacy.  This means the heir will always be a female, normally the last born within a generation.  This is subject to change at any time.
  • Adopted and clone children are eligible to take over the legacy as I see fit.
  • If I happen to make it to ten generations it does not mean the legacy is over.  I will continue until I am no longer able to play the family for whatever reason

Well I think that's all for now.  Time for the fun and frivolity to begin.  I hope you enjoy!

  1. Whoops, guess I should have started with this :P Sounds great! I'm typically more of a hands-on simmer, but with my legacy I'm really trying to let them do what they feel like, but also with an occasional nudge if they need it.

Can't wait for more chapters :)

  2. I used to be a VERY hands on simmer. Pretty much a micro manager with Sims 2. Then one day I came home from work and wanted to play, but I was lazy and tired, so I just let them do there own thing. I only intervened if they were in danger. Turns out if you let your sims run wild, they will constantly shock and amuse you!

Although in your case, Amber might need more of a nudge then usual *lol* Poor girl is scared of her own shadow. It's so adorable, but I feel so sorry for her *lol*

  3. LOL Yeah, she really is... I certainly hope that she doesn't pass down her cowardness to any of her children. Dealing with her is hard enough, I can't imagine having to deal with another coward for Gen 2!!

  4. *lol* I have never played a Sim with either the Shy or Coward trait. I random roll all traits for any children born in game, so I suppose it's just a matter of time before it happens....I think I'll keep my fingers crossed that when I do have one, it's a spare not my heir!
